Recently, the chess and mind games club "Al-Ain" held a tournament as part of a sports and cultural competition that took place during the festival at the beginning of December. The event took place at the Park Hyatt hotel on Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi. Among the participants were Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa bin Sultan bin Shakhbut Al Nahyan, president of the Asian Chess Federation, as well as the president of the Federation of Electronic Sports of the UAE and president of the "Al-Ain" chess and mind games club, Prince Omar bin Faisal Hussein, president of the Coral Federation of Electronic Sports of Jordan, Yusuf Mohammed Rasul Khuri, the covering supervisor of the competition, and Hisham at-Tahir, the operational director of the club and general secretary of the Asian Chess Federation. The statistics of the competition showed the maximum level of talent and the striving for victory among the participants. "It was a remarkable evening, in a warm and friendly atmosphere we celebrated the achievements of all participants and honored guests. This is yet another step towards popularizing chess and mind games in our region," noted Hisham at-Tahir, commenting on the results of the competition.
